Cat Tien is an ideal tropical park to spend exploring nature, wildlife with trekking and cycling. Many trips for bird watching and sightseeing the wetland of crocodile lake. This is a place we stay a night before travelling to Dalat- the honeymoon city. We set off the early morning at 7:00 am for the smoothest journey without traffic jams. After two hours, the vehicle drives, we will pick up the bikes in the countryside village in Trang Bom, and ready for off-road. We ride through the beautiful landscape; villages, farmlands, foothills, a small beautiful lake, jungle, and view Tri An lake before a big stop at Pilgrimage Center Immaculate Conception Mountain Bend. Visit the large area by bicycle and enjoy mountainous lake views before we bike to highway 1A, Phu Cuong, where we transfer for lunch. After lunch, we will enjoy today's best mountain biking routes. We pedal along the river, foothill rice paddy, beautiful countryside of Ta Lai, the Ethnic Village, and you will explore the history and tradition of the Ma, Stieng, and Tay ethnic groups. Then, ride a quiet back road along Dong Nai River. Check-in, the hotel
Nam Cat Tien is the largest park of lowland tropical rainforests in southern Vietnam. This is a great place to get back to nature to enjoy peaceful landscapes and relax for a couple of days. Breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we have a boat ride on Dong Nai River to Dao Tien, the Monkey Island. It's the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Center, where you can find many naturally releasing primates. Many of them had been victims of unlawful wildlife trades but now protected carefully in the forest. Then we go back to the hotel to do check out. Then we carry on our bike adventure; from the park, we ride on the dirt track to sub-Nam Cat Tien forest via Dak-Lua, the lush eco-system of a semi-evergreen forest and wetland-flooded evergreen forest. We will stop to bike in the rural village of Ma Da Gui for a transfer to Deo Chuoi Pass for late lunch today. After lunch, we relax in our vehicle driving to Dalat in the late afternoon. Dalat is known as the " City of Eternal Spring" and surrounded by hills, pine forests, lakes and waterfalls. Known as the “City of Eternal Spring” for its distinctive temperate climate, Da Lat was developed as a resort by the French in the early 1900s. Many reminders of its colonial heritage remain.
Dalat is well-known as the highland central city and famous for its beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, valleys and lovely climate. We enjoy half-day biking to the countryside and rural villages, experience local life, ride through valleys, greenhouses, and tea, coffee plantations. Dalat is famous for farm products; artichoke, cauliflowers, strawberries, persimmons, and various flowers. Then we visit some local homes, see how people get weasel coffee beans! The next stop is the cricket farm, and we admire the beautiful landscape, enjoy downhills biking to Elephant Waterfall. Have lunch locally before we return to Dalat city by support vehicles.
Hon Giao Pass was one of two epic climbs over a mountain pass during the trip. The climb was challenging, but it worth it because of the breathtaking views through valleys, pine forests and tropical rainforests before the 29km downhills ride to the seaside province- Nha Trang. After breakfast, enjoy an hour of vehicle driving on the road through Dalat city: Xuan Huong and Than Thuo lakes and greenhouses along with the ways to rural Dist. On arrival Nui Ba - Bidoup National Park. We ride on rolling hills, through pine forests and valleys. There will be many stops for the photo taken. The beautiful scenery of the tropical forest would stimulate we to make more challenge as we wish! From the peak of Hon Giao, we ride down to Suoi Loi. It’s a lovely ride on 29 km cycling down only. In the afternoon, a leisurely bike ride on country back roads through villages, farming land enable you to experience local life; ride through rice paddy fields, sugar cane plantation and local markets before we ride to end up at Dien Khanh. Stunning coast & Beaches & Seaside villages
Many small country roads are smooth and small, with less traffic, long sandy local beaches, peninsula, lagoon, mountains along the coast, and small towns; however, some roads are rolling mountains, hills, and stunning bays that the minor roads are the best choice.
Mountains, Hills and Tropical forests and Jungles
Depend on the trips you booked and where it travels through mountain climbs throughout the route, rainforest, and jungles far from the coast where the rural infrastructures are underdeveloped, or paths through deeply remote hamlets and closed to traffic. In this case, your guide will avoid riding on many undeveloped rural villages, and dirt tracks are unsafe, bumpy and very rocky, slippery and landslide when it rains, and lead you depending on the minor roads.
We ride mostly on small paths along fishing villages, seafood farms, and lush flat rural farmlands, small villages for support vehicles to go along with the riders. But the support vehicle will be on minor roads running parallel and driving along as close to riders as possible. The networks of small paths crisscross rural, and this will be easy for riders to meet the support vehicles at corners, forks on country roads after approximately 15 km, 20 km, or 25 to 30 km on a daily bike ride.
The rainy season in Central Vietnam is usually around September until early last January, which coincides with the best humidity and temperature of the entire year, with the high levels of rainfall from September to November. Sometimes, typhoons from the sea affect Hoi An, and flooding might occur in Hoi An's old town from October to December. October until February is the peak season for tourism in the country. The dry season between January & August with temperatures ranging in the mid 30°C, and humidity. In general, the weather in central is divided into two seasons, and the rainy season and the dry season do not coincide with the two climatic regions of North and South. It's hot and humid from May to August, so it's the best time to do bicycle tours from September to April.

Dear Ms Hue
From Nha Trang we went to Hon Ong, where we spent three days before returning to Ho Chi Minh City and back home a week ago. In Sweden we have plenty of snow and a crisp -18 degrees celsius (see attached photos). I guess every country and climate has its own charm... Back to your question about the tour - We are very happy with our four day bicycle tour!! Phuc was a very good guide who made sure the biking and pace was up to our capacity. He made sure to stop to point out interesting things and enable us to take photos of views, coffee, tea, pepper and banana plantations. He made sure we had snacks and drink stops along the road. We got to stop and meet friendly people along the road. He took us to genuine and very good eating places and was all-over very friendly!! Hoang - our driver - was also very good. He was a skilled and very careful driver and we always felt safe with him behind the wheel. He was also very attentive and made sure we had water along the road, sheered us on and took care to wipe our eating sticks and plates when having meals. The trip was perfect for us - a mix of national park, jungle, farmland and back roads and with a one day stopover and sightseeing in Dalat. The fairly rough accommodation in Nam Cat Tien and the very good accommodation in Dalat was a good combination. We always felt very safe and we definitely had our share of adventure and sightseeing. I cannot enough express how happy we are with our biking with Vietnam Backroads Bicycle Tours. This was the best way to experience Vietnam!! We will sure recommend you to everyone who might be interested!! I can honestly not think of anything that could have been different - not even the rainy day we had between Dalat and Nha Trang. Kind regards..and please extend our praise to Phuc and Hoang as well! 2013
Thanks for the best 4 days we had in Vietnam !
