Join our day trip tour to experience the daily life of the traditional pottery village. Bat Trang Ceramic Village is located on the banks of the Red River, in the Gia Lam district, about 14km from the center of Hanoi. The village is one of the most handicraft villages in Northern Vietnam. After generations, locals still make good quality with traditional skills. We'll learn the traditional way of making all the different products; try making rolled rice pancakes, a specialty of Hanoi.
After you are met at your hotel in Ha Noi, we'll transfer you to Long Bien Bridge, the old colonial steel bridge over 100 years old. Enjoy lovely views from the bridge and the green countryside surroundings. We start to bike on the bridge with stops to look over the fantastic rural villages and its green countryside with your endless photo opportunities. Travel through vast rice, farmlands of cornfields, bananas, sugar canes, and fruit orchards along the paths. With regular stops, you will meet locals at small markets and taste seasonal fruits. The incredible scenery and local life experiences will provide many photo opportunities. Continue cycling through the fertile farmlands and enjoy views of the Red River to Bat Trang- a traditional pottery village. Witness and learn more about the conventional ways of making ceramics and pottery, and visit the Bat Trang Ceramic Museum. Next is a ferry crossing to Thanh Tri village and a break for lunch. After lunch, continue cycling along the dyke road to the high road, where you'll transfer back to the hotel.
