Cat Tien is an ideal tropical park to explore nature and wildlife by trekking and cycling. Many trips have been organized for bird watching and sightseeing to the wetland of Crocodile Lake. We set off in the early morning at 7:00 am for the smoothest journey without traffic jams. After two hours, the vehicle drives; we will pick up the bikes in the countryside village in Dong Nai and get ready for off-road.
We ride through the beautiful landscape; villages, farmlands, foothills, a small beautiful lake, and jungle, and view Tri An lake before a big stop at Pilgrimage Center Immaculate Conception Mountain Bend. Visit the large area by bicycle and enjoy mountainous lake views before we bike to highway 1A, Phu Cuong, where we transfer for lunch. After lunch, we will enjoy today's best mountain biking routes. We pedal along the river, foothill rice paddy, beautiful countryside of Ta Lai, and the Ethnic Village, and you will explore the history and tradition of the Ma, Stieng, and Tay ethnic groups. Nam Cat Tien is southern Vietnam's most central park of lowland tropical rainforests. This is a great place to return to nature, immerse yourself in natural landscapes and wildlife, and relax for a few days. After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we have a boat ride on Dong Nai River; plenty of birds, swimming snakes, macaques and civets along the and listening to brid's singing.
Then we go back to the hotel to check out. Then we carry on our bike adventure; from the park, we ride on the dirt track to sub-Nam Cat Tien forest via Dak-Lua, the lush eco-system of a semi-evergreen forest and wetland-flooded evergreen forest. There are many stops along the paths, admire giant trees, visit local farms, and learn more about the animals in the forest. Then we ride to Cat Tien Archaeological Site which was discovered in 1985 un sub- Cat Tien Park. After eight cycles of excavation, archaeologists have found many structures influenced by Indian civilization similar to the Cham towers in My Son Heritage Site in the central Quang Nam Province. This is an opportunity to learn more about and admire the stone Linga-Yoni and other impressive statues. We will have a late lunch before a transfer to Dalat.
The city is known as the “City of Eternal Spring" and it's surroundings are hillsides, pine forests, lakes and waterfalls and vegetable farmlands. Da Lat was developed as a resort by the French in the early 1900s. Many reminders of its colonial heritage remain.
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and have a 20-minute support vehicle transfer to rural Dist, pick up the bikes, ride through the pine forest and small country farms, and enjoy the fantastic views of; the pine forest, valleys, and greenhouse villages. Then we ride downhill on the back road to Ta Nung and Nam Ban, visiting the weasel coffee farm, cricket farm and Silkworm farm. Then ride to Linh An pagoda, and continue biking through hillside coffee farmland to Da Don village, where we have lunch.
Following lunch, we'll transfer 2.5 hours through mountain passes and tropical forests to Pai Pi, the mountain pass summit, where we will ride downhill to Lak Lake. Take your time pedalling slowly along the lake as you view the peaceful landscape alongside the lake to Jun village.
Early morning is the best time to experience a M’Nong ethnic minority-Jun village and local lifestyle. Many fish on the lake, and some feed elephants and pigs. Have breakfast and coffee at a restaurant faced to the lake and be ready for the last day ride down to Doc Lech beach-Nha Trang.
We'll transfer 1.5 hours to Cư Drăm village for the day ride. We will experience tribe life on the quiet back roads and sometimes along the sleepy river. The morning ride is 45km, to Phuong Hoang Pass, on paved roads through peaceful mountains and tiny villages, coffee farms along hillsides, rice paddies, rivers, remote villages, passing wooden title houses, coffee, coffee farms along hillsides. Stopping along the hamlets of M'trong, and Cu Sang villages, see buffaloes, cows and goats. We challenge some gentle hills and undulate through tropical forests to the Phuong Hoang Pass Summit.
Lunch en route. Then take a downhill ride to the Phuong Hoang descending mountain pass to Duc My village. View the mountain ranges, looking over the vast lush decent farmlands. The ride will end at the old Duc My Airport- the former US Airport before 1975. Afterwards, take a transfer to Doc Lech beach via Ninh Hoa town. Doc Lech is the only beach with the shallowest blue water and soft white sand
