Lai Chau - Seo Lang - Sin Ho

Nestled in the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, Sin Ho is one of northern Vietnam’s most captivating plateau regions. This remote district offers stunning mountain vistas, serene valleys, and vibrant rice terraces. It is home to various ethnic minority groups, including the H’mong, Thai, and Dao. The best time to encounter these communities is during the lively Sunday morning market, when locals gather to trade handmade goods and farm products. On other days, the town is much quieter.

With elevations ranging from 900 to 1,800 meters and a mild average annual temperature of around 18°C, Sin Ho boasts a pristine and refreshing environment—ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. Located about 60 km from Lai Chau, the road to Sin Ho is smooth and scenic, weaving through rugged terrain and long, rewarding mountain passes.

We begin early today, cycling directly from the hotel. The cool weather makes it a perfect day to conquer the mountainous route ahead. The first 10 kilometers are gently rolling, giving us a chance to warm up before tackling the climbs toward Seo Lang. Along the way, we’ll pause frequently to take in the awe-inspiring views from the high mountain passes.

From Seo Lang village, the road winds gently toward Sin Ho, descending through quiet farmland, stilt-house villages, and terraced rice fields. The final stretch is a scenic ride through small hamlets and lush valleys, ending in the tranquil town of Sin Ho—an unforgettable destination in the heart of the northern highlands.
