After breakfast, we begin our journey to explore the local life of Champasak. Today’s ride takes you through the beautiful Lao countryside, with a backdrop of mountains and rice fields that showcase the region’s natural charm. We follow a red dirt trail starting in the heart of Champasak and passing through three traditional villages: Ban Tai, Ban Houay Sa Houa, and Ban Houay Khor. The trail concludes about 12 km before Vat Phou, the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of southern Laos’s most important temples.

From Vat Phou, we continue cycling south on flat terrain toward Sukuma town, where we’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we cross the Mekong River by ferry to Ban Nonphue village and continue riding to our pick-up point for the transfer to Don Khong, the largest of the famous 4,000 Islands of the Mekong. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure, giving you time to relax at the hotel or stroll along the riverside.
