Today's journey blends tranquil cycling, cultural discovery, and nature immersion, taking you from Don Khong Island to the serene wetlands of Ban Khiet Ngong in the Xe Pian Protected Area.


Start your day with a delightful breakfast before setting off on a leisurely cycle on the eastern bank down the Island bridge. After the Don Khong Island Bridge, turn onto scenic backroads lined with lush farmlands and picturesque river views. Pedal past small villages and fields of vibrant vegetation, soaking in the serene atmosphere of the countryside. Continue cycling along dirt tracks for about 9 km, experiencing the rustic beauty of the Mekong region. The journey takes you to Road 13, where a delightful picnic lunch awaits, offering a chance to relax and refuel amidst the natural surroundings.


After lunch, explore the region's off-road tracks, weaving through fertile soils, rice paddies, and the authentic countryside where locals engage in agriculture and fishing. The dirt backroads offer an intimate connection with the rhythms of rural life, as you pass by smiling villagers and stunning landscapes. Re-joining Road 13, hop into the support vehicle for a scenic transfer to the Xe Pian Wetlands, a protected haven of biodiversity and tranquility.
