Visit Purple City of Hue & Explore Tam Giang Lagoon

In the morning, we take a guided walking tour and explore the Hue Imperial Citadel. The kings had numerous concubines who lived in designated quarters within the Forbidden City. Concubines' life and freedom in the Purple Forbidden City were limited, and their main duties were to give children and serve the emperor. We then travel on the shuttle to Thien Mu Pagoda. The Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady, is one of the most iconic and historic landmarks in Hue. For centuries, it has been a place for pilgrimage to worship. It remains an active religious site where monks live, practice, and conduct ceremonies. Return to the city for lunch. Taste royal specialty cuisines at a famous restaurant: crispy rice pancake, Vietnamese spicy soup with beef, Hue spring rolls with starfruit, pork, pickled vegetables, cucumber, and chili peppers, com hen, and banh khoai.

In the afternoon, you'll visit Bao La village and experience how artisans make various bamboo decorative handicrafts and bamboo furniture. Numerous products are displayed, such as frame pendant lamps, trays, baskets, fish traps, fishing baskets, creels, dustbins, rooster cages...etc. After the visit, you'll transfer to Tam Giang Lagoon, where you will take a scenic cruise, explore nature and the life of fishermen, and learn more about the biological diversity of aquatic fauna. The boat passes many shelters and little boat houses where fishing villagers stay and look after their fish and oyster farms. Visit a little fishing village and enjoy the sunset before returning to the hotel.
