Depart at 8:00 a.m, leave the bustling city behind, and venture into the heart of the Mekong Delta Rice Bowl. After 2 hours, travel by shuttle on the freeway over the vast countryside, a serene landscape that will instantly put you at ease. We'll pick up our bikes as you arrive in Tam Binh village by the Mekong River in Tien Giang. We'll share space with locals on a ferry boat to Ngu Hiep Island and start cycling pathways down the villages, through the dense orchards, and sometimes along the rivers. The next ferry boat will bring us to Tan Phong Island; we'll continue cycling through Tan Phong, greeting with a loud welcome, innocent smiles, and waving hands along the country roads. We'll have another ferry boat take us to Cai Be Township. Stop for lunch at a typical ancient house in the delta- three partial wooden houses.
Following lunch, we'll board the Cai Be Princess boat and cruise along the Cai Be waterways; we will make a stop at the small village by the river that produces local snacks, handicrafts, and rice paper. Afterward, rest on the boat and taste coconut milk while cruising the Mekong. As the boat enters the Dong Phu canals, we'll have an opportunity to see local lives along the waterways. Dong Phu canals are artificial to make a shortcut for waterways instead of a way loop An Binh island. It's busy, and this is a chance you experience life on rivers. Numerous wooden cargo boats using long-tailed engines move up and down the canals. The boat trip takes about 1.5 hours and it will end in Vinh Long City, where the shuttle awaits. We'll transfer an hour to Can Tho City.
