Day

Cao Lanh – Cho Moi - Chau Doc

Start the day ride after a 20-minute transfer, explore the vibrant countryside landscape, bike through mango orchards, passing small markets along the Mekong Rivers and rice husking mills. There will be a stop at a small cafe by the river, which only opens in a few hours in the morning. Then, we carry on our adventure to the ferry boat, which locals use as a routine shuttle boat going to the mainland every day. After reaching Gieng Islet, you can be amazed at how people live here during the yearly flooded season, on stilt houses because of the wetland. We'll resume biking to the Monastery built 120 years ago by the French. The first Monastery was constructed in Indochina in 1874. We have time to explore the area and admire one of the most beautiful churches on the island. We then get on a support vehicle and transfer to Cho Moi for lunch.

In the afternoon, we'll experience local life along country back roads, cycle from verdant rice fields to Ba Sac River, passing fish farms and stilt houses before we take a ferry crossing Ba Sac River. Stop at the local market, enjoy Vietnamese coffee seasonal fruits, and continue cycling through lush vegetable fields. Then, ride to Muslim villages and stilt houses and enjoy views of floating houses by the Ba Sac River until we reach the outskirts of Chau Doc. Transfer to Sam Mountain and check in at Victoria Nui Sam Lodge.
