Xeo Quyt Forest has an area of 52-hectare near My Hiep village. The vast swamp full of tall cajeput trees. Cajeput tree is a common name used for a specific tree classification with a white spongy bark that easily flakes off the trunk. Viet Cong built its base inside the forest in 1960 with bunkers, meeting rooms, command headquarter, etc. The forest is the home to many fresh fish and serval birds and storks. The Xeo Quyt is the ecological site and offers rowed sampan to visit historical relics, admire the scenery, and learn about the touch life in Vietnam War.

We depart at 7:30 am to Cai Be, travel on the freeway for about 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, we ride to explore a network of Mekong River's branches. Enjoy riding through hamlets, visiting old temples, relaxing on little ferry boats, crossing the water channels, and exploring life on waterways that people grow fish on floating farms. We will stop at the vibrant Cai Thia market, the ancient community houses. Enjoy snacks, cold drinks, fresh fruits, and visit the old community temple.

You can imagine- sampan boats, water taxis, and little grocery boats advertise what they want to sell by loudspeaker. Afterward, we cycle along rivers, passing stilt houses and small markets to An Thoi Trung villages. Following lunch en route, we have a transfer for 30 minutes to Xeo Quyt forest. Visit the former Viet Cong base by sampan rowing boat. Viet Cong built its's base here in 1960 against the South Vietnamese army.
