Followed by breakfast at the hotel, we check out and travel by support vehicle to Hien Luong Bridge,- Ben Hai River was the boundary between North and South Vietnam was 76.1 km in length and crossed from east to west near the Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. The DMZ- Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone was established as the borderline between North and South Vietnam from July 1954 to 1976. With 81 fierce days and nights at Quang Tri.
We walk on the historic bridge to another side, take some photos, view the peaceful Ben Hai River, and visit its History Museum before starting the morning ride from this museum to Vinh Moc Tunnels. We cycle on tranquil back roads along this river, past lotus fields and several hamlets. We will stop at Cua Tung fishing Town to get an excellent opportunity to explore the live fishing market, walk the fishing port, and ride to Cua Tung Bridge to view beautiful beaches and the town. Enjoy the Vietnamese coffee, snacks, fresh fruits at a local restaurant faced to the sea. Then we pick up the bikes and continue biking on a coastal route to Vinh Moc Tunnels, and we pass by sandy beaches along the ways.
After lunch, we'll transfer 2. hours to Dong Hoi, continue the day with exploring the authentic villages alongside mountain hills and quiet rivers. See buffalos on paddy fields, elderly with colonial hats working on farmlands, cycle on dirt tracks until we leave the jungle, and ride intensely into farmland along the mountain on narrow pathways. Have a great view of the spectacular cliffs and stunning mountains in west Ho Chi Minh. Then, we cross the rubber plantation to Ho Chi Minh highways (former Ho Chi Minh trails). Pass some small towns before we follow a small track cross through lush farmlands and cycle along River to Phong Nha.
