Cycling to Vinh Moc tunnels - Phong Nha

Commence today's tour early at 7:30 am with the authentic drive to historic Hien Luong Bridge- a bridge cross over Ben Hai River located in 17 parallel during Vietnam War. (Make a short visit to Gio Linh military cemetery on the way to Hien Luong bridge) The famous Ben Hai River was the boundary of North Vietnam and South Vietnam from 1954 until the war ended. Arrive at Hien Luong Bridge around 8:30 am, take a walk on the memorable bridge with a well-informed guide, and learn more about the Vietnam War in DMZ, Quang Tri. Stop and spend more time at Hien Luong Museum. Then we cycle to the famous Vinh Moc tunnels. The tunnels consist of kitchens, food storage, healthcare rooms, and bomb shelter. Around sixty families lived in the tunnels; as many as 17 children were born inside the tunnels. Ride along the tranquil Ben Hai River, stopping at Cua Tung beach, a little town with a lively fishing port and beautiful beach and stopping to admire the small town and nature landscapes from the long bridge. Then visit the fish market before we carry on the ride on the scenic coast to Vinh Moc tunnels. Enjoy a locally guided tour to explore these famous tunnels have many entrances inland and many gateways to the sea. The Vinh Moc living tunnels are often compared to Cu Chi fighting tunnels, which are smaller, humid and more complicated with more than 250 km. After lunch, we'll transfer to Dong Hoi's rural Dist where we cycle through rustic countryside along mountain hills and, forest jungles and along the sleepy river to Phong Nha.
