Pakse – Bolaven Plateau – Tad Fan

Your adventure begins with a scenic ride from Pakse up to the Bolaven Plateau. Our first stop will be at a traditional village, well known for bamboo basket weaving and blacksmithing. Here, you’ll witness how knives are skillfully handcrafted using age-old techniques passed down through generations. From the village, the road gradually climbs into the coffee-growing region, where the temperate climate nurtures both Arabica and Robusta beans. These world-renowned beans are a vital source of income for the local communities and command some of the highest coffee prices internationally.

The cycling route offers an undulating but gentle ascent, providing a welcome challenge after days of riding across flatter terrain. Along the way, you’ll pass through vast stretches of lush coffee plantations, immersing yourself in the plateau’s unique atmosphere. Your destination is the Tad Fane Resort, overlooking the spectacular Tad Fane waterfalls, with their twin cascades dramatically framed by the Bolaven Plateau. Before settling in, we’ll also visit the nearby Tad Yuang waterfalls, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and relax in the cool waters.
