After a leisurely breakfast, we'll transfer you to Noi Bai Airport for an internal flight to Hue. Then, travel to Hue and enjoy a guided tour to explore the Purple Forbidden City. It was the feudal capital of Vietnam, dominated by the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. The Imperial Citadel, located by the Perfume River, winds through the Capital City and the Inner City, giving this unique feudal capital a tremendous natural beauty setting. Savor royal cuisine at one of the famous restaurants in Hue.
In the afternoon, we'll explore Hue's culture, history, and local lifestyles in modern days as well s the past. Our biking guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hue and then briefly transfer you to the cycling point near Hue Railway station. We will enjoy this charming city's peaceful, leafy backstreets, cycling out to explore the countryside around Hue. We first visit the Ho Quyen arena, where the emperor presided over duels between tigers and elephants. We resume cycling and passing the 19th-century Nguyen Tomb of Tu Duc; we will enjoy the beautiful complex of ornate temples, pavilions, and tombs built beside a picturesque lake. After visiting the incense-making village, we gear up for a gentle ascent of Vong Canh Hill, the old military bunker, which rewards us with spectacular views. Afterward, we'll cycle into the rural villages, sometimes pedaling along the river; we'll pass many royal tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, fruit orchards, old mandarins, and temples, then cross the Perfume River on a pontoon bridge to Minh Mang mausoleum—considered the worth-visited site in Hue. You will transfer back to Hue City in the late afternoon.
