Depart at 7:30 as we set off early in the morning, drive on the coast to Van Gia township, and set off on the bike in town, where we start our bike riding and enjoy views of tiny fishing villages before we bike through the rustic countryside. We venture into farming villages through small markets, then tho the salt fields, view the mountainous hillside along the railway, cross the railways and speed up a little pass of Dai Lanh, where we stop and look over the bay of Dai Lanh. We ride downhills to Dai Lanh Beach and break for lunch at a seafood restaurant.
Following lunch, we continue riding the main roads for a few km, but it less traffic since the Co Ma Pass has vehicle tunnels. We turn right to Vung Ro, waving locals at fishing villages along the coast as we make our way closer to the coast. Challenge a gentle hill through tropical forest, cross Dong Ha Bridge, and we'll immerse ourselves into the wast rice paddies and leave the busy coastal roads behind. We follow the smooth paths through cultivated lands, sometimes racing with Reunification trains along the way. The zig-zag routes travel through many little villages but will crowd a bit as we reach Tuy Hoa Airport. We ride down the coast, speed up the Hung Vuong Bridge over the Da Rang River, and keep cycling to the hotel in town facing the beach.
