After breakfast, a 20-minute vehicle transfers you to An Khe lagoon for a full-day adventure, with a quick stop at beautiful salt fields to capture some photos before the ride. We start the day riding into small hamlets along the coast, exploring the non-touristy countryside, riding along the unique paths, passing many small local markets, and stopping at a shallow lake home to fresh fish. Locals do a lot of fishing by straps and nets in the rainy season, but the lake is lush farms in the dry season. Continue riding through rice paddies and small towns before crossing over the river to seaside villages. The routes are smooth and mixed concrete and small asphalt road along the rivers, past vegetable fields, and small villages. Then you ride through vast lush farms and tranquil towns and ride down the coast, past local fish farmings. Explore the backwaters and agricultural lands, have some ferry crossings, bike along rivers, peaceful villages, fish farms, rice paddy fields, and tropical palm trees, and cross the rivers on agriculture bridges. Stop at pagodas, and admire some old houses surrounded by betel trees. Stop at irrigation bridges, look over the peaceful rivers, and charm villages. The backwater area is beautiful, with incredible scenery and complicated bike routes. Continue biking over the Co Luy bridge that crosses Tra Khuc River and follow the minor road to Som My Memorial- My Lai Massacre in 1968.
Break for lunch in a small town before we continue to experience fishing villagers' life along the ocean and river paths to Sa Ky fishing post for the endless photo opportunity. Drop your bike at a coffee shop, and take your camera with you for a walk to see the daily life of fishing villagers. Then, we have a local ferry crossing and bike on rural paths through charming villages to Binh Son township.
