Rider's Reviews
To be honest, I would like to clarify the truth about our reviews and feedback system. Our team receives trip feedback directly from our clients through email, WhatsApp, and the feedback forms available on our website. After collecting and verifying these reviews, our IT team publishes them on our website. In June 2026, we launched a new version of our official website to replace the previous version, which had been in use for many years. Since our company was established in 2010, we have operated several different versions of our website, typically upgrading to a new version every five years. Whenever a new website version is launched, our IT team must transfer all existing content, including customer reviews and feedback, from the old website to the new one. This migration process takes time, but all reviews published on our website originate from genuine feedback provided directly by our clients.

Thank you for a great trip!
1. Bike seats for women! I got very sore riding with a regular bike seat. (I didn't tell Poleak because I didn't know we could do anything about it.) Once I got a different kind of seat (in Vietnam), I was WAY more comfortable. I guess women need a different kind. Maybe you could make some women's seats available. I'm attaching a picture of the comfortable seat.
2. Most of the hotels were great, especially the eco-lodges and the colorful one in Phnom Penh. The only hotel that wasn't great was the River Hotel. Just thought I'd let you know. People were nice but the hotel was a little run down and the street noise in the morning.
3. 12 days is a lot of days to ride, unpack, pack and ride again. Maybe you want to offer a "down day” in the middle of the trip where the clients stay in same place for two nights in a row. People can have the option to ride that day leaving and returning to the same place, or not ride. Just an idea! 05 - 16 November 2023

Greetings We have almost finished our cycling trip and want to express our gratitude 🙏. We both have enjoyed it very much. Hoang has been exceptional 👏. He has that balance between being very professional but relaxed and nice all at the same time. Both Hoang & Boc ( driver ) both went out of their way to be helpful, kind, supportive and friendly. We can't say there was anything bad about the trip and will be highly recommending your Company to friends & family. Thank You for all the background support. You did a fantastic job organizing and directing from my very first enquiry. Very professional 👏 !!!! 05 - 08 October 2023 Regards
A day trip cycling to Mekong Delta
We had a great day with him 😄 he really made it special Also by explaining a lot and so well… thank you very much for this wonderful experience 🙏 Maybe something to consider if you go with children/teens, to include a swim somewhere if possible. As it can be really hot & hard so that would great. In case that’s not possible maybe a longer boat tour or something ‘spectacular’ for their age. All the best, what a beautiful country is Vietnam 🇻🇳 24 August 2023
Cycling Vietnam: 4 – 21 April 2023
The bike trip Hanoi - Nha Trang was fantastic and unique in all aspects. Excellent guides, high quality bikes, always small roads without traffic, concrete paths, dirty tracks, very varied picturesque scenery, deep insights into the authentic life, very welcoming locals, delicious food. Mr. Van and team of Vietnam Cycling Tours are THE tour operator for Indochina. extremely reliable and innovative from the planning to the last day of the trip. we highly recommend this great experience and look forward to further biking trips with them. The almost new hardtail bikes are very well maintained, equipped with perfect tires for the ground conditions and handlebar bags. We enjoyed them a lot. Thanks also for the very comfortable handlebar grips. Both drivers and both guides always loaded the bikes very carefully and efficiently into the car. The very carefully evaluated bike routes lead through picturesque areas, along rivers, through villages with a lot of life. We rode exclusively on small roads without traffic, concrete paths or dirty tracks. We are amazed by these stunning routes and highly appreciate your dedication to find them. In dense traffic and in urban centers we rode in the car, even if it was only for 5 - 30 km, on a few days even several times. Thank you so much that you took on this loading work again and again without us asking you even once. this is high class service for us, and we are very grateful that we didn't have to bike on busy streets. The surroundings of the approx. 1,300 km southbound route are very varied. Big city Ha Noi, Halong Bay, huge caves, rice fields in growth, green areas with herds of buffaloes and cows, shrimp, fish, oyster and pearl farms, forests, lagoons, duck farms, melon, peanut and rice fields in harvest time, provincial cities, mountain villages and fishing villages, big markets. We saw soooooo many things – incredible. I’m so happy we took a lot of photos, so that we can remember all of them. In the Halong area, we visited a more distant bay on a spacious beautiful cruise ship and stayed overnight there with only 7 other ships. This is in contrast to the closer Halong Bay, where 200 day-boats and 300 overnight boats are bustling around, according to the cruise guide. We were fascinated by the beautiful, overgrown rock formations and the tranquility. We especially appreciated our luxury corner cabin with windows on 2 sides and a balcony. Thank you so much for choosing the quiet part of Halong Bay for us. Back from Halong Bay, we enjoyed our room in the afternoon at the beautiful Authentic Hanoi Boutique Hotel in the old town of Ha Noi until guide Cuong picked us up for dinner and transfer to the train station. It was so nice for us to take a rest and shower in our private room. Receiving a hotel room only for a few hours use, that's not something you can take for granted everywhere. The 500 km night train ride from Ha Noi to Dong Hoi was fun and we enjoyed our neat four-bed cabin for two very much. In Central Vietnam, the manual harvesting of rice and peanuts, the threshing and drying of the rice grains and peanuts on the road, the wooden carts pulled by buffaloes and the digging of the fields with cows were very impressive for us. everywhere we could stop and watch extensively. We adored that. after the weather divide on the Hai Van pass, smaller combines and tractors were used for the rice harvest in the hotter southern part. Guide Cuong and driver Hiep - responsible for Ha Noi and northern Vietnam - as well as guide Dat and driver Viet - responsible from Dong Hoi to the Mekong Delta - are all extremely helpful, circumspect, cheerful, well-versed in the area, flexible and very professional. Cuong and Dat speak very good English and conversations with them were very interesting. They are happy to share their vast knowledge of flora, fauna, culture and history. They immediately implemented our wishes, e.g. regarding sightseeing, restaurants. Thus, we always enjoyed very authentic meals in very small restaurants and cook-shops. Often, besides the guides, also driver Hiep ate with us. We appreciated this very much and we laughed a lot. The commitment of the four guys to us was tireless. We always felt extremely well taken care of and comfortable with them. Our very nice deluxe rooms were in dignified local **** hotels or even ***** hotels of international chains. without exception uniquely located within walking distance of exciting city centers, big markets, seashores. Never would we have expected such accommodations. The encounters with the local people were very impressive and touching. We especially liked the villages and towns with practically no international tourism, where the locals looked at us with big eyes and giggled as we walked by. The two guides helped us communicate a lot with the locals. This immersion into the real Vietnam fascinated us very much. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For us, absolutely everything was amazing and perfect from the very beginning to the very end. A huge thank you to Mr. Van, Cuong, Hiep, Dat, Viet and the whole Vietnam Cycling Tours team. We will recommend you to our friends and hope to travel with you again. Cathy and Daniel
Cycling Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh
My girlfriend and I had a great three day trip cycling through the Mekong delta with our guide Phuc. We had lots of fun exploring the countryside and learned a lot from Phuc's local knowledge. The border crossing by boat was well arranged and an easy way to get into Cambodia from Vietnam. The bikes provided were in great condition, and the right size for a 6'6" cyclist. We really enjoyed our days of cycling in de Mekong Delta! The bikes were of good quality, we crossed some beautiful places and nice villages and Phuc was a great guide. The boat trip to Phnom Penh went really well, so we practically have nothing to complain. I thought that we had already dropped a review, but now we did on google and tripadvisor as well. 05 - 06 - 07 September 2022.
Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia
We very much enjoyed our time in Vietnam cycling through the stunning countryside. We saw places that no other tourists go and this was indeed very special. Cambodia was also very interesting and the guide was very good. He explained the culture and sights very well. However cycling on the main roads in Cambodia did not compare to our wonderful experience in Vietnam. Cycling through Angkor Wat and other temples was however exceptionally nice. We will definitely recommend going on a trip with you to our friends and family. This was a holiday we will remember for a very long time. Thank you again for showing us the real Vietnam. 04 - 13 January 2020
Cycling Mekong Delta 3N/4D Ho Chi Min to Phu Quoc
This was a great trip. We had a private booking for us - Mum and Dad and our kids 20yr and 16 yrs. We cycled 3 days. Day 1 was a slow start due a mix up with hotel pick up (my fault) so we did about 30 easy km. We drove out of HCM for about 2 hours before beginning. The cycling was mostly on concrete paths beside rivers and canals with small houses backing onto it. Although outside the main city it did not feel rural as we were beside houses the whole way - but it was interesting.Lots of stops on day 1 for drinks, to sample fruits and sugar cane drinks etc. We were delivered to a better than anticipated 5 star hotel on day 1. Our guide not only cycled with us but also collected us for dinner. We were keen to eat local so he sourced the restaurants and order for us - which really added to the experience. Day 2: it became clear that Cong our guide would really taylor the mix of cycling - sight seeing- pace to whatever we wanted. On day 2 we decided to cycle 50km in the morning and finish up by lunch as the forecast was for a hot afternoon. We started the morning with sightseeing at the floating markets - really good and a visit to local textile weavers. Cycled through lots of countryside and beautiful surprises like arriving at a school just on pick up time to watch the throng of motorbike pick ups for the school children and a hundred "hellos" form the kids who rarely have westerners in that area. A really special treat was a watermelon stop at Cong's grandparents home for a break. Day 3 my daughter was sick and again the flexibility of our guide was great. He re- arranged the day to have us taken to the Crane wetlands while the boys cycled there to meet us. We still enjoyed the boat ride through the wetlands and then opted for the van transfer to the final hotel. Similar to the review below there were many outstanding factors - great organisation and communication pre trip - flexible schedule and pace and length of cycling to suit. - nice bikes - good support vehicles. - good or very decent hotels - local food with a local guide to order and help us enjoy it. - great arrangements for sightseeing -our boats were aways waiting for us, everything was paid for and great commentary as we went. What could be better The daily plan was sometimes a little hard to elicit from Cong. This might be a language barrier. It would have been good to have a rough idea like "we are starting here, taking a break here, stopping to see this and then aiming for lunch at 1pm....." Even when we asked information was a little vague - but perhaps that's because things are flexible. The cycling was good. It was just right for us and I would label this as a sight seeing experience on bikes - not hard core cycling. But that was just what we wanted. It provided a unique way to get a glimpse beyond the standard tourist areas and we liked that. However it was not very rural. I had thought it would be more out in the countryside - but really we were mostly on canal paths with rural housing beside us and orcahrds fields behind the houses. That was OK 0 but different to what I had expected. However the attractions to sightsee were more that I expected - so I guess that balances. Sight seeing included the floating markets, textile weavers, fish farms, temples, rice factory, coconut candy, Crane wetlands and Memorials. There was more time in the Van than we expected as each day we drove out of the city to start and into the city to finish. The price. Similar to the comment below - it was a little pricey for Vietnam - but in the end I have to say I was happy to pay the price as it was a very good tour in a country where a lot of tourism is still emerging. So in this aspect it was very high level of service which is not easy to get outside resorts etc in Vietnam. I would definitely recommend the tour if you are looking for something like this. I also note that Vietnam Backroads also have some great full-on cycle tours if that is what you are after too. This one worked for us. We finished the tour and took a ferry to Phu Quoc for more of a resort break to finish off our holiday. A great mix. 02 - 03 - 04 - 05 Mar 2019 Hope this helps.
The great way to taste rural Vietnam
Karen - Very interesting. A good mix of biking and visiting interesting places. Cong was evry flexible when my daughter got sick and changed our plans. Love trying new food, fruits, and the tours like floating market + stork pall. I would be good to know the day plan a bit more. like how for to ride, what will lunch be, how long in the bus. But everything else is wonderful. Grant Dempsey - Great way to see feel and taste rural Vietnam. Having a guide to explain various points of interest, communicate with locals and another food make the trip enjoyable and stress free. The various stop at tourist attractions are a great value and very informative. 02 - 03 - 04 - 05 Mar 2019
