Hello, the tour was very good. A nice change of pace with visits to locals. The cycling was fantastic, ideal for exploring the south on small roads between the villages. The guide was excellent; he always asked what we wanted to do. Kit, the driver, was also very good at his job. The hotels were also very nice, only the last hotel in Rach Gai was less than stellar. I recently joined the North East Vietnam Mountain Cycling Tour (13 days / 12 nights) with my 73-year-old grandfather — and it was truly an experience of a lifetime. We rode about 1,100 kilometers across breathtaking mountains and small, peaceful villages that most travelers never get to see. Neither of us are professional cyclists, but thanks to the e-bikes, every climb felt possible and every ride was pure joy. Our guide and support driver were incredible — always attentive, kind, and somehow always appearing with cold water, fruit, and a smile just when we needed it. Everything — the routes, hotels, meals, and logistics — was so well organized by Vietnam Cycling Tours that all we had to do was enjoy the ride. If you want to experience the real Vietnam, beyond the usual tourist spots, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. 07 - 19 October 2025

Dear Mr Phuc, Thank you for the organisation of our wonderful cycle tour and also the cycling jersey’s. We will be wearing them in the hope of encouraging others to use your company. You asked for negative feedback and so Emily and I spent some time trying to come up with some improvements. Unfortunately we couldn’t think of much to report. Our issues were mainly about the difference in cycling skill between Emily and I. Where I might have wanted less vehicle time and was happy on more difficult trails, she preferred the rest during the transit sections and wide easy paths. I found having Danny as a guide was wonderful. He is a very intelligent and interesting young man and we had lots of great conversations around religion, food, culture, cycling etc. It is very valuable when you are travelling with a guide for a number of days if you can ask questions and get well considered answers. Some of our other Vietnam travel experiences with guides less capable in English were more difficult as they have a set amount of information to communicate but can’t answer questions. The accommodation was great and we really enjoyed the lunch and coffee stops where Danny introduced us to specific dishes. The only thing that maybe would be worth considering is maybe some more information about what gear to bring such as bike pants, jersey and rain jacket etc. ( maybe you do have this information and I missed it).So thank you again for a wonderful cycling experience.

All our meetings went very well & on time part due to Danny's meticulous planning & secondly to the quality of the hosts & businesses chosen. Hello Phuong, Thank you so much for your email and I do apologize for the delay in responding. Yes, we enjoyed a few relaxing days in Nha Trang and once we got home, it was go go go to catch up on everything in our business that had been happening while we were away. From all of us, thank you, we had an amazing tour and would highly recommend you to anyone. Whilst both Sum and Phuc have different styles of touring, we enjoyed our time with both of them, not to mention the crews who work alongside them, they are all so helpful. We really don't have any criticisms but I've put a couple of things below that may have worked better but honestly, they are simply observations from our perspective and by no means are they a criticism of the tour. I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. Hosted Dinners - when Sum or Phuc had to host dinner with us, we felt a bit sorry for them. Once we have chatted and got to know them a bit, there is not a lot more to talk about and as we are a group of friends, we then just chat away and I'm sure they would rather be with their crew (driver, mechanic etc). Menus - the included dinners were usually set menu but we could never manage to eat all the food. The cost would probably be less for you if we all just enjoyed a light appetizer and then a main of our choice. Maybe a street food tour is a better option than sitting down in a Restaurant. Our group certainly enjoy being out and about walking the streets and enjoying all that Cambodia & Vietnam have to offer. But honestly, there are very small things and might totally work with a different group. We want to explore Vietnam in the north one day so will certainly be in contact with you to assist us with a cycling journey in the North. Firstly, this trip was exactly what we were hoping to do, so we were thrilled to find a local company hiring local guides - excellent bikes, van support, and information provided (9 days from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City). Unfortunately, I was very sick for the portion of riding in Cambodia but our guide Art and driver Sye were very kind and supportive. I had to ride in the support van while my partner rode - but we both got to see beautiful temples, back roads, small towns, and rice paddies. Art was friendly and helpful and the accommodations and meals were fantastic. For our Vietnam portion - we were handed off to a Vietnamese guide and driver. Bao truly made our trip special in so many ways. We cycled on a variety of roads, very rural to small towns to small cities. Riding through narrow roads connected us to the people and the land in a very beautiful way. We stopped at many different small businesses (brick making, coconut rope making, etc.) and Bao translated questions so we could understand local lifestyles. The people were so friendly, accepting, and curious. The scenery was lush and beautiful and we took small ferries to cross the braiding waterways of the Mekong River delta. We really enjoyed Bao’s positive energy, pride in his Vietnamese heritage, willingness to answer all questions, and support in restaurants. The food was great and all of the accommodations were very nice. We were grateful to learn about Vietnam’s past and impressed by these resilient people. We have only positive things to say about this trip. :) 02 - 10 February 2025

This was one of the best-managed cycling tours I have experienced, particularly the Vietnam segment. Ms. Linh and her team provided exceptional support throughout, guiding us seamlessly through the routes and offering insightful commentary on the cultural significance of various stops. Beyond her expertise as a guide, Ms. Linh is also an outstanding cyclist, whose enthusiasm and encouragement inspired us to push our limits. The Cambodia portion of the trip was well handled by Mr. Sum and his team, though there were some logistical challenges, including last-minute hotel changes and an issue with an incorrect bike. Additionally, scheduling rides in 36-degree heat after lunch was less than ideal; adjusting the itinerary to complete the majority of cycling before midday would enhance the overall experience. Despite these minor setbacks, the tour was an incredible experience, offering a unique and immersive way to explore Vietnam and Cambodia. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover these two countries from a different perspective. 02 - 10 Mar 2025

Thank-you for your email. With regards to the Jersey sizes, we've also learned a few things about clothing sizes. From local clothing purchases we've made, we've had to buy clothes that are 2 sizes larger. It seems a North American Size M is a Vietnam XL. It seems the bike jerseys are a 3 size difference. We are in Ho Chi Minh city until Sunday. Would the https://www.saigonbikeshop.com/en have 3XL shirts that I could swap my jersey with?
