Vung Tau, a picturesque coastal destination, lies approximately 105 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City and is easily accessible by road or high-speed ferry. Once regarded as a beach paradise for international travellers, Vung Tau has evolved into one of the most popular weekend retreats for domestic visitors seeking relief from the heat, traffic, and fast-paced lifestyle of the city. The journey takes around two to three hours by road, while hydrofoil and fast ferry services can reduce travel time to approximately 90 minutes. A newer transport option via Can Gio combines road travel with a fast ferry crossing, providing a shorter and more scenic route to Vung Tau.
