Ninh Binh, once the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Dinh Dynasty (968–980 AD), is a destination where history and natural beauty blend seamlessly. Remnants of its imperial past can still be found in ancient temples, sanctuaries, and royal tombs, offering a glimpse into one of Vietnam’s earliest independent kingdoms. The region is renowned for its stunning landscapes, particularly Tam Coc, often called “Halong Bay on Land,” where limestone karsts rise dramatically above emerald rice fields and winding rivers.

At the heart of the area lies the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring spectacular limestone peaks, valleys, waterways, and cave systems shaped over millions of years. Archaeological discoveries within Trang An reveal evidence of human habitation dating back more than 30,000 years, illustrating how early communities adapted to changing climates and environments. Nestled among these natural fortresses is Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital in the 10th and 11th centuries. Today, Ninh Binh remains a captivating blend of history, culture, and breathtaking scenery, where ancient temples, peaceful villages, and lush rice paddies create a landscape of timeless charm.
