Located in the Gulf of Thailand, closer to Cambodia than mainland Vietnam, Phu Quoc has evolved from a quiet island known for fish sauce and pepper farms into one of Vietnam’s top beach destinations. The island features over 150 km of beautiful coastline, white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and lush tropical forests protected within Phu Quoc National Park. Alongside its natural beauty, visitors can enjoy luxury resorts, entertainment complexes, a casino, and modern attractions. Phu Quoc is also unique as the only destination in Vietnam where international visitors can stay visa-free for up to 30 days. Combined with fresh seafood, stunning scenery, and easy access, it remains one of the country’s most popular tropical escapes. For a more adventurous journey, many travelers cycle through the scenic Mekong Delta before taking a ferry from Rach Gia or Ha Tien to the island. Whether arriving by air or sea, Phu Quoc offers spectacular beaches, tropical landscapes, fresh seafood, and a relaxing island atmosphere that make it one of Vietnam’s most memorable destinations.
