Today’s total distance is about 56 km with an exciting 45 km of off-road riding; the rest is on Highway QL4C, and the support van will travel with the group all day, so help is always nearby. We start from the hotel and ride a few km on the main road before turning onto quiet off-road trails. The support van stays close and is easy to reach throughout the journey. The trail takes us through peaceful rice terraces, beautiful ethnic minority villages, green forests, and stunning mountain landscapes. We then climb a challenging mountain pass that reaches 872 metres above sea level, with some steep sections of up to 32.3%. Along the way, enjoy amazing views of wide valleys, traditional villages, thick forests, and rolling mountains.

Lunch will be served during the ride. After reaching the top, we enjoy an exciting 11 km downhill ride beside the calm Lo River. This is followed by an easy 11 km flat section before we return to Highway QL4C. The route mixes quiet paved roads with off-road tracks that the support vehicle can access, giving you beautiful scenery, friendly local people, and a chance to experience the culture of the region. After rejoining QL4C, we ride the final few km back to the hotel.

Today is one of the most rewarding rides of the journey, covering approximately 71 km from Quan Ba to Dong Van. Designed for cyclists who enjoy a full day in the saddle, the route is challenging yet flexible, allowing plenty of opportunities to pause for photos, coffee, and cultural encounters.

Leaving Quan Ba, we quickly leave the main road behind and follow quiet backroads through remote mountain villages. The first challenge is a steady 8 km climb, ascending from 447 m to 1,236 m. As the road winds higher, spectacular views unfold across limestone peaks, lush forests, and terraced hillsides dotted with the traditional homes of local ethnic communities. A rewarding 14 km descent then leads us into the peaceful town of Yen Minh, where we stop for a well-earned coffee break.

Refreshed, we tackle the day's final major ascent—an unforgettable 16 km mountain pass with an average gradient of 5.6%. This climb carries us deep into the heart of the UNESCO-listed Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Every bend in the road reveals another breathtaking panorama of jagged limestone mountains, deep valleys, and winding roads that have made this region one of Vietnam's most iconic cycling destinations.

Beyond the summit, the route continues over gently rolling terrain for around 10 km, offering more magnificent scenery before we visit the historic Vuong Family Mansion, also known as the H'Mong King's Palace. This remarkable stone residence was once home to the influential Vuong family, who ruled much of the region during the early 20th century. Our day concludes with a scenic 13 km descent into Dong Van, where we check into our accommodation and relax after a challenging day of cycling through the dramatic landscapes of Vietnam's northern frontier.

Prepare to be swept away as you traverse this awe-inspiring pass, where every bend reveals dramatic, postcard-perfect vistas and countless photo opportunities.

The route snakes sinuously through towering limestone mountains, lush emerald hillsides, and terraced valleys, rising and falling gracefully alongside the shimmering Nho Que River. Each turn offers a new perspective—rugged cliffs, mist-kissed ridgelines, and deep gorges—before descending spectacularly toward the vibrant town of Meo Vac.

We then turn left toward the river, descend to Khau Vai Pier, and board a private boat for a scenic one-hour cruise, where we admire the breathtaking karst mountain walls, featuring towering limestone cliffs rising up to 800 meters high. Bao Lac is a small town nestled in a mountain valley by the rivers, where ethnic minority villages are scattered throughout the surrounding area. Early in the morning is the best time for travellers to come and see the tribes sell and buy all kinds of things, such as pigs, chickens, ducks, fresh farm products, and farming tools made of bamboo. Today’s ride unfolds as a journey of discovery along Vietnam’s China border, a region rich in culture and home to colorful hill-tribe communities.

We weave through rugged mountains and serene, misty valleys, taking on the thrilling challenge of the dramatic Ta Nen and Khau Coc Cha—better known as the legendary Me Pia Pass—with its dizzying twists and amazing views. The highest point is 1,114 m, and the total length is 20 km. We then descend to Pac Po over some small hills. In the final stretch, the road softens into a scenic glide, winding through lush tropical forests, crossing gentle passes, and descending into breathtaking valleys. The day ends on quiet, narrow trails that trace the Bang River, guiding us peacefully into the historic village of Pac Po.
