Full Itinerary

Meet in Hanoi, where your guide will provide a trip briefing before a full-day guided exploration of the city. In the morning, visit key landmarks such as the former French Colonial Palace and Quan Thanh Temple, followed by a short walk with scenic views over West Lake. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in town.


If you're arriving in Hanoi today: Please share your detailed flight information with us. We’ll arrange an airport pickup from Noi Bai International Airport and transfer you to Hanoi City. You can then join the group in the afternoon or evening, depending on your arrival time.


In the afternoon, continue to the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, and conclude with a visit to the National History Museum. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show and dinner before boarding the overnight train to Lao Cai. Your guide will accompany you throughout the entire journey.

The train arrives in Lao Cai in the early morning. Meet your drivers and begin the scenic uphill transfer along winding mountain roads to Sapa. Enjoy breathtaking views of lush rice terraces and deep valleys along the way.


Upon arrival in Sapa, have breakfast at the hotel and leave your luggage at the reception. Then set off to explore the stunning landscapes of mountains, rice paddies, and valleys as you cycle through the villages of Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Su Pan. Along the route, you'll discover the unique cultures of the Black Hmong, Red Dzay, and Tay ethnic groups.


Stop for a delicious local lunch. In the afternoon, continue your journey into the heart of Red Dao territory, visiting traditional villages and learning about their daily life. The day ride concludes in Ban Ho village, from where you’ll return to Sapa by vehicle.

After breakfast, we leave Sapa town by vehicle and begin our cycling adventure on smooth, undulating roads that wind through lush hill farms. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking mountain views and conquer a few small hills as we pass the scenic Silver Waterfalls and arrive at the famed Sapa Heaven Gate. From here, take in the spectacular natural beauty of Fansipan Peak and the dramatic mountain passes of the Hoang Lien Son Range, the highest in Northern Vietnam.


We then enjoy a thrilling descent along winding roads to Tram Ton Pass, continuing onward to Binh Lu. From here, we go off-road, cycling along small gravel paths through charming tribal hamlets inhabited by the Thai ethnic group. This stretch offers magnificent views of jungle-clad hills and rolling terrain dotted with plum orchards and remote villages, with lunch en route.


After about 13 km of rugged trails, we rejoin National Road 32, cycling through a landscape of green farmland and mountain scenery with mostly downhill gradients toward Than Uyen. We continue on smaller backroads, skirting the mountain range, and delve deeper into the lives of the Thai and Mong tribes, riding past lush rice terraces and traditional homes. We conclude today’s ride at a vibrant rural market before transferring to Than Uyen for the night.

After a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to our hotel and hop on our bikes to begin an unforgettable day. The journey starts with a scenic ride across rice fields framed by towering mountains. We pass through a quiet town before turning onto small, hilly backroads that wind through hillside villages, offering stunning panoramic views along the way.


Our route then descends into lush valleys and transitions onto a dirt road leading to Ban Chat Reservoir. Here, we embark on a scenic 2-hour boat trip across the tranquil lake—a unique opportunity to witness the everyday life of tribal communities living along the lake’s banks.


Once the boat journey ends, we continue cycling through remote ethnic villages nestled on the mountain slopes and small fishing hamlets dotting the lakeshore. Upon reaching Highway QL279, we transfer by vehicle to Huynh Nhai for a well-deserved lunch. The morning tour takes about 2 hours by boat and covers approximately 20 kilometers by bike, offering amazing experiences every single minute.


In the afternoon, the bike ride starts in Muong Gion; we pedal for 1.5 km on flat roads that cut through vibrant rice paddies before we descend 19 km on winding roads with beautiful views of valleys, lush forests and isolated villages. Cross the Da River to Huynh Nhai, a little town, check in at the hotel, and enjoy coffee and the peaceful landscape of the Da River.

Today commences with a short transfer outside Huynh Nhai for a full day of cycling through the rugged rural countryside to Son La. The route ranges from moderate to difficult and offers awesome scenery in remote areas. The highest summit today is 1,035 m, while the others are smaller. 


The morning section is up and down, with some moderate passes, leading us along the mountainside, where we can enjoy mountain views and the lush tea plantations, peaceful countryside, sometimes passing tiny villages and crossing scenic valleys. We’ll have a local lunch in a small rural town. 


The afternoon is more vibrant, venturing through spectacular towering mountains, taking in the scenery, and admiring the outstanding natural beauty of leafy rice terraces that look like a verdant carpet, with little villages nestled in the middle and along the edges of lush valleys or by the hills. The route is really zigzagging and winding along rivers. The day concludes on the outskirts of Son La, where we’ll return to the vehicle and transfer to Son La City in the late afternoon.

The ride starts with around 8 km of gently undulating terrain before a steady 10 km climb to the summit of the breathtaking Khau Pha Pass (1,574 m). Although the ascent is long, the gradient is manageable, rewarding us with magnificent panoramic views of Mu Cang Chai’s world-renowned terraced rice fields, picturesque valleys, and colorful hill tribe villages.


Rise early to experience the valley in its tranquil morning light, when mist drifts across the mountains, and the rice terraces glow with natural beauty. From the summit, enjoy a thrilling 20 km descent into the charming valley of Tu Le, home to the Thai, Mong, and Dao ethnic communities. Here, we’ll stop for a delicious local lunch, famous for the region’s specialties.


In the afternoon, we’ll tackle one final gentle climb before enjoying a predominantly downhill ride through peaceful rural landscapes. The winding road passes quiet villages, scenic valleys, lush hillsides, forested mountains, fertile farmland, and rivers that meander alongside the route, offering countless opportunities for photographs and cultural encounters. Today begins with a short shuttle transfer outside Nghia Lo before we set off on an unforgettable cycling adventure deep into Vietnam's rugged northwest highlands. In Tram Tau, savour a delicious home-cooked lunch featuring authentic local cuisine and experience the warm hospitality of the local people. After recharging, prepare for the day's greatest challenge—a demanding climb into the spectacular Ta Xua Nature Reserve. The road ascends relentlessly through pristine forests and dramatic mountain slopes to the lofty Ta Xua Pass at 1,745m, one of the most rewarding cycling climbs in northern Vietnam.


Admire the extraordinary beauty of Ta Xua Nature Reserve, renowned for its breathtaking traverses, mist-shrouded peaks, ancient forests, and ever-changing mountain weather. As you pedal higher into the cool, cloud-draped highlands, the scenery becomes increasingly wild and awe-inspiring. This pristine reserve is home to remarkable biodiversity and offers an unforgettable cycling experience through one of Vietnam's most remote and untouched landscapes. On clear days, the legendary "sea of clouds" drifts across the surrounding peaks, creating the magical floating-cloud scenery for which Ta Xua is famous.

Today's terrain is mostly gentle and undulating, with one rewarding 12km climb offering magnificent views across the plateau, and another more than 10 km  through forested hills and quiet farming villages. The cool highland climate and tranquil countryside make for an enjoyable and memorable day in the saddle before farewell dinner in Moc Chau.

Today begins with a short shuttle transfer outside Nghia Lo before we set off on an unforgettable cycling adventure deep into Vietnam's rugged northwest highlands. Our route follows quiet, scenic back roads that weave through remote ethnic hamlets, lush valleys, jungle-cloaked hillsides, and peaceful mountain towns, revealing some of the region's most spectacular and unspoiled landscapes.


The day’s first challenge is a magnificent mountain pass rising to 1,626m. Over the first 24 km, we steadily climb through a series of winding switchbacks, with a welcome 5 km descent midway that offers a refreshing break before the final ascent to the summit. Reward yourself with breathtaking panoramic views across endless mountain ranges, verdant forests, and deep valleys stretching to the horizon. From the summit, enjoy a thrilling descent into the incredible Tram Tau Valley, interrupted only by a short 2 km climb before rolling into this tranquil mountain village.


In Tram Tau, savour a delicious home-cooked lunch featuring authentic local cuisine and experience the warm hospitality of the local people. After recharging, prepare for the day's greatest challenge—a demanding climb into the spectacular Ta Xua Nature Reserve. The road ascends relentlessly through pristine forests and dramatic mountain slopes to the lofty Ta Xua Pass at 1,745m, one of the most rewarding cycling climbs in northern Vietnam.


Admire the extraordinary beauty of Ta Xua Nature Reserve, renowned for its breathtaking traverses, mist-shrouded peaks, ancient forests, and ever-changing mountain weather. As you pedal higher into the cool, cloud-draped highlands, the scenery becomes increasingly wild and awe-inspiring. This pristine reserve is home to remarkable biodiversity and offers an unforgettable cycling experience through one of Vietnam's most remote and untouched landscapes. On clear days, the legendary "sea of clouds" drifts across the surrounding peaks, creating the magical floating-cloud scenery for which Ta Xua is famous.


After reaching the high point and soaking in the magnificent views, we conclude today's epic mountain adventure with a shuttle transfer to Bac Yen, where a comfortable hotel and a well-earned evening of relaxation await.

Today's rewarding journey leads us to the beautiful Moc Chau Plateau, one of northern Vietnam's most celebrated highland destinations. Famous for its cool climate, rolling emerald tea hills, fragrant tea plantations, plum orchards, and seasonal flower valleys, Moc Chau is a paradise for cyclists and nature lovers. Along the way, admire the iconic heart-shaped tea plantations, hidden waterfalls, and spectacular viewpoints, while experiencing the rich cultures of the Kinh, Thai, H'mong, Kho Mu, Dao, and Tay communities.


After breakfast, we depart Bac Yen by support vehicle for a scenic 1.5-hour transfer to Mai Son, where today's cycling adventure begins. We ride through a remote mountain region near the Laos border, following a peaceful network of paved, concrete, and gravel back roads. The route winds through lush tea plantations, strawberry farms, fruit orchards, vast greenhouses, and fertile rice paddies, all surrounded by refreshing mountain scenery.


Today's terrain is mostly gentle and undulating, with one rewarding 12km climb offering magnificent views across the plateau, and another more than 10 km  through forested hills and quiet farming villages. The cool highland climate and tranquil countryside make for an enjoyable and memorable day in the saddle before farewell dinner in Moc Chau.

After an early breakfast, we'll take a short transfer to the outskirts of Moc Chau, where we begin our final ride along one of Vietnam's most legendary routes—the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. Today's journey follows smooth, paved roads through breathtaking mountain scenery, gradually descending toward the tranquil waters of Hoa Binh Lake.


Cycling along peaceful back roads, we'll pass rolling plateaus, lush mountain forests, scenic valleys, and remote tribal villages with traditional wooden stilt houses. The route winds through tea plantations, fertile hillside farms, and vibrant rice paddies, offering wonderful opportunities to experience the rich culture of the local ethnic communities and capture spectacular mountain landscapes.


As we approach Hoa Binh Lake, the scenery opens to emerald waters framed by forested limestone hills and peaceful fishing villages. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a floating restaurant, sampling fresh local specialties in a beautiful lakeside setting. After lunch, relax during a comfortable three-hour shuttle transfer back to Hanoi, marking the perfect final to our unforgettable cycling adventure along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail.
