Full Itinerary

The afternoon before the trip starts, our team will pick you up from your hotels and bring you to our bike store for a bike fitting and safety check. After that, we’ll return you to your hotel so you can prepare for the days ahead


Your adventure begins early mrning with a scenic 5-hour transfer from Ha Noi to Viet Quang, including a lunch stop along the way. The afternoon ride starts from a little market, leading you into the heart of Vietnam’s remote northern mountains. The route takes you along winding roads, with approximately 10 km of thrilling snake-like curves. As you ride, you’ll pass through small ethnic villages, vibrant rice terraced fields, and stretches that run alongside peaceful rivers. The road gradually ascends toward a mountain peak, climbing nearly 745 meters in elevation and offering breathtaking panoramic views at every turn.


After reaching the peak, you’ll begin a descent through charming small towns, lush green valleys, and areas dotted with traditional stilt houses. The day’s ride concludes in the peaceful village of Thong Nguyen. You’ll spend the night at a local hotel, resting up after a full day of riding through some of Vietnam’s most stunning and untouched landscapes.

Today’s journey takes us through some of Ha Giang’s most iconic landscapes. We’ll cycle from the hotel and stop at the local tribal market, then follow a small route along the river for 5 km on a flat paved road before climbing a pass over 8 km, gaining 839 m in elevation. The road winds through mountains and dense forest. We'll explore the prestigious limestone mountains and the Paradise Terraced Fields.


As we ride, we'll pass through remote tribal villages tucked into the hillsides, where traditional wooden stilt houses and vibrant local customs offer a glimpse into life untouched by time. The route includes several challenging hill climbs, rewarding us with sweeping views and photo-worthy vistas, before we descend 16 km toward Tan Quang.


We then continue through remote villages, rolling terrain, and scenic valleys, experiencing local life along the way and at times riding alongside the Lo River. The final 40 km takes us through beautiful valleys and vibrant villages on mostly flat roads, with our support van always nearby. The route eventually joins QL2 outside of Vi Xuyen, where we’ll transfer by vehicle to Ha Giang Town, where we can rest and reflect on the extraordinary cultural and natural beauty we’ve just experienced.

Today's ride is an exciting off-road adventure of approximately 45 km, fully supported by a dedicated escort van that will accompany you throughout the journey. The afternoon section follows Road QL4C, offering a more relaxed cycling experience.


After a delightful breakfast, we begin our ride from the hotel. Following the first 10 km, we leave the main road and venture onto scenic off-road trails, while our support van remains close by and readily accessible. The route winds through a tranquil landscape of terraced rice paddies, picturesque minority villages, and breathtaking mountain scenery.


We then tackle a challenging mountain pass that rises to an elevation of 872 metres, featuring gradients of up to 32.3%. Along the climb, enjoy spectacular views of verdant valleys, traditional tribal settlements, dense forested jungles, and lush mountain ranges as we pedal along winding roads. Lunch will be served en route.


After reaching the summit, we enjoy an exhilarating 11 km descent alongside the peaceful Lo River, followed by an easy 11 km flat section before rejoining Road QL4C. The route combines quiet paved backroads with vehicle-accessible tracks, offering stunning scenery, warm tribal hospitality, and rich cultural immersion.


Upon rejoining QL4C, we continue cycling on a gentle, mostly flat road towards Yen Minh. Today's total cycling distance is approximately 67 km, after which we transfer by shuttle to Yen Minh for the evening.

The morning ride leads us challenge a hill for about 16 km, the rest of the day is gentle pass, and undulaling roads. We'll travel deep into the heart of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark renowned for its dramatic limestone pinnacles, labyrinthine valleys, and remote tribal hamlets scattered across a rugged, awe-inspiring landscape. After a refreshing pause at the picturesque buckwheat flower fields—celebrated for their vibrant pink blossoms—we continue northward along a winding “snake road,” tracing sections of the Vietnam–China border. The route meanders through a series of colorful ethnic minority villages, offering authentic glimpses into traditional highland life. Lunch is enjoyed en route.


As we approach the iconic Lung Cu Flag Tower, perched at Vietnam’s northernmost point, we are rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of majestic mountains and cascading terraced fields. Afterwards, we'll  transfer by shuttle for approximately an hour to Dong Van town. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel and spend the remainder of the afternoon wandering through Dong Van’s Ancient Town, where charming stone houses, timeworn architecture, and tranquil alleyways echo centuries of rich cultural heritage.

We set off at first light, heading into one of the most scenic and culturally immersive stages of the journey. Our route begins in Dong Van Ancient Town, a charming highland enclave framed by dramatic limestone peaks and dotted with traditional Hmong architecture. After a few gentle warm-up kilometers, the ride quickly gathers momentum as we begin the ascent toward the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass—widely regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s most spectacular mountain roads.


At the Ma Pi Leng Pass, we pause to take in sweeping, panoramic views over a deep gorge carved by the emerald ribbon of the Nho Que River far below. From here, we descend toward a small valley and follow the paved 8 km down to the Que Nho River, which offers a breathtaking 45-minute boat ride through the stunning Tu San Canyon. After the boat ride, savor lunch and we continue the day cycling to Meo Vac. Stay a night in town.

After a hearty breakfast, we begin the day with a short shuttle transfer up the steep hills, allowing us to bypass the toughest climbing and maximize our time on two wheels. From the drop-off point, we collect our bikes and enjoy a rewarding 27 km downhill ride to Mau Due.


The route follows the scenic back roads of DT182, a peaceful and winding road that threads through picturesque ethnic minority villages, terraced hillsides, and lively local markets. Far from the main tourist routes, this beautiful stretch offers an authentic glimpse into daily life in the highlands.


Joining DT176, we continue cycling through a rustic mountain landscape of layered rice terraces, lush hillside farms, and charming thatched-roof villages. We pause in the tranquil township of Mau Due and in several scenic valleys where traditional villages nestle against the surrounding hills.


From here, the ride becomes gentler as we pedal through a succession of broad valleys, vibrant rice fields, and leafy mountain scenery. A relatively flat 10 km section allows time to soak in the spectacular surroundings before the day's main climb: a gradual 12 km ascent to a pass at 1,148 metres above sea level, averaging a manageable 2.3% gradient.


The reward is a magnificent 8 km descent through dramatic mountain scenery, with opportunities to stop and explore the ruins of former colonial-era military outposts scattered along the route. A final gentle climb of approximately 3.5 km leads us through rolling mountains before the last exhilarating descent into the peaceful village of Du Gia, and spend the rest time guided explore vibrant village.

Later, we transfer approximately two hours to Ha Giang for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue with a scenic five-hour drive back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.
