My Son Sanctuary by bike & boat
My Son Hindu Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an excellent sample of the ancient Champa civilization in southern Vietnam. It was an independent state from around the 2nd to the 17th century when Vietnam took over. The impressive Hindu-themed ruins feature many beautiful stone sculptures, temples, and towers in the tropical jungle.

February to April is arguably the sweet spot for adventure tours in the central provinces, when sunny days and gentle winds make rides through vibrant countryside and along mountainous coastlines particularly pleasant.
By June and July, Central Vietnam can still be dry and sunny, but temperatures can sometimes reach around 35°C at midday.
From September to October, the flooding season occurs in lowland areas of Hue and Hoi An close to the sea, with periods of heavy rain and showers continuing into December.
In general, international travellers can enjoy adventure tours year-round in the coastal provinces, even during the rainy and flooding seasons, as the cooler temperatures can be quite comfortable for travellers from Europe, America, and Australia. The exception is June and July, when the weather can feel a little warm.
