Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, located about 30 km southwest of Chau Doc Town, is one of the Mekong Delta’s most remarkable ecological attractions. This vast wetland sanctuary serves as both an ecological park and a bird reserve, attracting domestic and international visitors alike. The forest is home to more than 70 species of birds, including storks, herons, cormorants, crakes, and bats, as well as a rich variety of other wildlife. Visitors can explore the flooded forest aboard a small boat, gliding through waterways covered with floating water hyacinths. Along the journey, blooming lotus flowers and lush greenery create a stunning natural landscape, resembling a vast emerald carpet stretching across the water.
