Ho Chi Minh - Tra Vinh

We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to a village outside Ben Tre city. We just spend 5 minutes to adjust bike’ saddle before we start biking. Ride the quiet paths through coconut plantation and small villages. We will make many stops to experience about daily village life along the way of cycling. The afternoon cycling is pedaling through water palms, largest section of Mekong River for a refreshing ferry boat ride crossing many small creeks. We continue an easy
riding on unique paths along lush green orchards, ride pass local workshops until we reach to publish ferry. We end up our today’ ride after we reach to further side of River.

Tra Vinh - Can Tho

Tra Vinh is famous for charming villages of Khmer minority people and the regional architecture is also very interesting. We start biking from the hotel, we follow small road to country villages to cross rice paddy to Tieu Can. There are many Khmer temples to visit and admire along the paths. Your guide will discuss with you about your timing for the day depending on your preferences and cycling abilities. Then the best routes will be chosen as well-tailor made with short distance or long way cycling. In the afternoon, your riding is easy on small country road through and grape fruit gardens. Especially with an opportunity for you to stay half an hour on small ferry boating
through natural creek to Binh Minh where you have a short transfer to hotel in city of Can Tho.

Can Tho - Sadec - Cao Lanh

Can Tho city had become famous and it attracted tourists because of busy Cai Rang floating market. It is one of stunning attractions in Mekong River Delta. You will see floating market before you have a bicycle ride to Sadec town. In the morning, you ride past sweet potato field and cycle along small natural rivers to the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le in Sadec which located by river. Your lunch will be served in this house. Cao Lanh - Cho Moi - Chau Doc

Cao Lanh is city of Dong Thap province and it is called the wetlands in Mekong Delta. On your cycle, we willmcycle through busy villages with wooden/concrete houses on stilts and ride on dirt track along river. Passing thatched houses, rice husking mills, catfish farms before we catch a ferry to Gieng Islet. We continue our adventure to explore this islet, ride pass monastery, fruit orchards and stopping at local market, have a coffee break before we ride to Cho Moi. After we have lunch in town of Cho Moi, the ride will continue, we ride to discover remote villages in Tan Chau Dist, ride across a farming land established after Vietnam War. The rest of today’ ride is to ride through many Muslim villages and have a ferry crossing to Chau Doc, border town.

Chau Doc - Phnom Penh

Today is relaxing day and we will have an early start from hotel. You will be picked up at hotel and transfer to the boat dock. The boat ride takes an hour to Vinh Xuong, Vietnam border gate. Then we continue enjoy boat ride to Cambodia border gate for Cambodia visa checking/ application before it taking you to Phnom Penh. Free to explore capital city by your own in the afternoon.

Phnom Penh – Stung Sen, Kampong Chhnang

Depart from hotels at 8:00AM then we take a boat trip to cruise along Mekong River and end it up on Island of Koh Dack Island. This boat ride gives you a chance to capture so much beautiful scenery along river bank. We'll explore experience daily life through Island, stop at some family workshop making silk by hand. Day 07: Kampong Chhnang – Siem Reap Siem Reap

Today is along day ride but our bike guide will choose the best routes so that your adventures become more interesting on dirt roads. You will also stop at many colorful temples and historical relics Breakfast at hotel, a transfer in early morning takes you to rural village where you will start cycling. You will pedal pass quiet villages, rice paddies, palm trees, robber plantation. The rest of the day is on private vehicle driving to Siem Reap.

See Angkor Wat by bike

From the hotel we have van/bus transfer through Angkor pass check point, then we ride on shady road. There will be many stops; see Kravan temple, Banteay Kdei, and the famous Ta Phrom, which had hold by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Then we continue cycling to Angkor Watt and spending time to discover it before we return to hotel in late afternoon. Tour End!

Road Condition

Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta, Vietnam, has rural path network systems, and they had very well-developed by governments. All country back roads are asphalt, concrete paths connecting villages to villages as it's a vast network. The rest are dirt tracks, so do not worry about exploring the Mekong Delta by bicycle, even you are a beginner. Depending on the regions, lowlands, or jungles, and rural villages of each province, our hand-picked routes are the best for your biking trips


Flexible route - The most important key to you

You do not have to ride the exact kilometer distance as it's showing on daily biking of each itinerary. It will be flexible as you want. Even you could choose some longest distance that more than 80km per day if a whole day ride. You could spend more time cycling if you think the biking distance is too short! Or you can enjoy short routes and spend more time taking photos, stopping at villages/ small markets, or the home of locals to find something interesting.


Throughout the Mekong Delta and its rivers with thousand branches! You will ride on various roads; flat trails, paths, rural roads, and country back roads where they are too small for vehicles. There are four Ethnic groups of people lying in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. They are Khmer, Cham, Chinese and Vietnamese. Each province has its own characteristics, economy and local style of living and culture and history. However, the Mekong Delta River has a thousand branches, natural creeks, and canals that small ferry boats are so important in the countryside, and riders have no choice!

Weather

The temperatures in the Mekong delta are all year round, about 25-28°C with only slight variations. The climate of the Mekong River Basin ranges from temperate to tropical. In the Upper Mekong Basin, some of the taller peaks of the Tibetan Plateau are glaciated. Much of this part of the Basin is snow-covered in winter. Melting snow from the Tibetan Plateau feeds the Mekong River’s dry-season flow, especially in the middle reaches. In the relatively lower elevations of the Yunnan province of China, the climate of the Mekong River Basin changes, and the temperature gradually increases.


  • The dry season is from October to the last of April. Farmers make three rice crops per year, so travelers meet them at their homes and see them working on farmlands. Significantly, the dry season is closed to the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and it makes locals doing more and trying to work hard to get more money. The weather is nice, low temperature and more relaxed than other seasons.

  • The wet season is called the flooded season or the monsoon season. It is the time of year when most of a region's average annual rainfall occurs. Sea level is higher than usual by heavy rains from upstream countries; Tibetan- China, Laos , Thailand, and Cambodia. Provinces in southwest of Mekong Delta have yearly flooded but not so long. It's from last of August to early of Nov. That is the best way to see Mekong Delta on back roads by bicycle.

    In general, the preferred travel time is the dry season. But even during the rainy season from May to October is also a perfect time to travel by bicycle of very short rains. The rain usually comes in short, heavy showers, mainly in the afternoon, and only lasts for an hour. Only a few days a year, the temperature is below 20°C. It usually takes around one hour, then gone, and sunshine turns back to normal.

There is only one A/C 16 seater van to take up all riders, luggage & suitcases, and bikes. There are four rows of seating for passengers on the A/C 16 seater van. Two people sit on each row. The third row is for luggage and suitcases. The last row of seats will be folded up, so all bikes will be uploaded here.

A medium group tour: from 5 to 7 people

There will be two vehicles to support riders on the entire trip. One 16 seater van to take up all riders, luggage & suitcases. Another truck to carry all bikes, spare bikes, tool kits, icebox to keep cold drinks, and so on




A large group tour: 8 to 14 people

One minibus to take up all riders, including luggage & suitcases, and one truck to carry all bikes, spare bikes, water, cold drinks, and snacks...Iceboxes



A group has more than 15 riders and more than 20 people

We provide two vans and one minibus, and one truck to escort large groups of riders and help ensure their safety. Our pro guide will motivate a team with support vehicles to bring the best services to riders.
